Jumbo Bag Stitching Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial stitching machines used in the production of jumbo bags (also known as FIBCs – Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers).
  
• Prepare materials by inspecting fabric, identifying defects, and ensuring proper alignment before stitching.
  
• Perform accurate and consistent stitching according to product specifications, including seam strength, stitch count, and pattern alignment.
  
• Conduct routine machine checks, perform basic maintenance, and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
  
• Monitor production output to ensure adherence to daily targets while maintaining quality standards.
  
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot stitching issues and improve process efficiency.
  
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of materials and machinery, to maintain a safe work environment.
  
• Assist in material handling, including loading/unloading fabric rolls and preparing components for stitching.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S principles and company standards.
  

• 1–3 years of hands -on experience as a machine operator or stitching operator in a manufacturing or textile environment.
  
• Proven experience in stitching jumbo bags or similar industrial fabric products.
  
• Familiarity with industrial sewing machines, including troubleshooting common operational issues.
  
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, work instructions, and quality checklists.
  
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency in stitching.
  
• Basic understanding of material handling and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
  
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision.
  
• Willingness to work in a fast -paced, team -oriented production environment.
  
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
