Legal Counsel Abu Dhabi | In-House

This is a broad and varied role suited to a lawyer with strong financial services, banking or fintech experience, together with solid commercial contracts and regulatory exposure.

The Role

The position will cover a broad range of legal matters, including:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts


• IT, technology and fintech agreements


• Banking and financial services matters


• Financial services regulatory matters


• Compliance and risk-related issues


• Disputes and contentious matters


• Providing day-to-day commercial and legal advice to the business


• Working closely with senior management and internal stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years’ PQE


• Strong financial services, banking and/or fintech experience


• Experience gained within a financial institution, regulated entity or law firm with a strong financial services/fintech practice


• Strong commercial contracts experience


• Good exposure to regulatory and compliance matters


• Experience with IT, technology and fintech contracts would be advantageous


• Fluent English and Arabic, both written and spoken, is essential


• Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills


• Comfortable managing a broad and varied legal workload


• Ideally currently based in the UAE or with relevant GCC/Middle East experience
