We are seeking a skilled and detail -oriented Loom Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The Loom Operator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless production flow, minimizing downtime, and maintaining consistent quality. This position requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a key contributor on the production floor, you will support the manufacturing process by monitoring machine performance, troubleshooting minor issues, and collaborating with team members to meet daily output targets. Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor industrial looms to produce woven fabrics according to production schedules and quality standards.
Perform routine setup, calibration, and adjustments of looms to ensure optimal performance and product consistency.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on loom machinery to minimize breakdowns and ensure safety.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance or supervisors as needed.
Monitor fabric quality during production, detecting defects such as yarn breaks, tension irregularities, or pattern inconsistencies.
Maintain accurate logs of machine performance, production output, and maintenance activities.
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to meet daily and weekly production goals.
Assist in material loading and unloading, including handling warp beams and fabric rolls.
Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Requirements:
1–3 years of hands -on experience as a Loom Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
Familiarity with various types of industrial looms (e.g., 6 shuttle Lohia/ Starlinger loom).
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical schematics or machine manuals.
Attention to detail with a keen eye for quality control and defect detection.
Basic understanding of textile weaving processes and fabric characteristics.
Ability to work in a fast -paced, physically demanding environment with standing and repetitive tasks.
Proficiency in following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recording production data and reports.
Willingness to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.
