Description

Medical /Clinical governance and Committee Management  



  • Chair, Co-Chair, or member of medical committees as assigned by the CMO such as but not limited to: M&M Committee, Privileging Committee, occupational Board Committee.

  • Support Physician privileging, re privileging and expansion of clinical scope of practice and maintain the Privilege Audit Target 100% with no deficiencies. 

  • Coordinate with clinical leadership to ensure physician maintain appropriate privilege competencies.

  • Ensure appropriate case review, discussion of clinical findings, identification of improvement opportunities and formulation of recommendation at the M&M Committee 

  • Ensure timely follow up and closure of committee recommendations and action plans. 


Lead physician engagement and clinical communication 



  • Lead biweekly lead physician meetings to provide updates on key clinical matters, service expansions, regulatory requirements and clinical special projects, ensuring effective cascading of information to frontline physicians.

  • Engage and invite relevant internal stakeholders and departments to present key updates and initiatives requiring lead physician awareness alignment and action. 


Regulatory and Clinical Special Projects 



  • Lead and coordinate special projects assigned by CMO with relevant stake holders to ensure successful implementation. 

  • Ensure Clinical readiness and implementation of programs such as IFHAS ,Well Child Visits  Premarital Screening, Obesity Management and other priority programs.


Clinical Service Development and Support 



  • Collaborate with Clinical Leads and Chair of Departments to identify opportunities for new procedures, service expansion by providing corporate level support and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate implementation.

  • Ensure Medical Affairs KPI and Medical Performance metrics are achieved 


Other specific responsibilities of the role



  • Leads the medical departments 

  • Ensure meetings productive, goals are met and strategies are implemented 

  • Ensure patient care and clinical outcomes remain a primary focus 

  • Ensure financial sustainability 

  • Ensure meetings productive, goals are met and strategies are implemented 

  • Support the development and monitoring of medical performance metrics. 

  • Works with other members to align financial goals and identifies revenue opportunities and cost saving measures.

Qualifications

Qualifications


Required: 


Bachelor's in medicine and surgery 


Family Medicine or Internal Medicine – Specialist or Consultant
