Procurement Engineer (Civil/Construction)

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading construction and fit\-out company in Dubai, UAE. Our client is seeking a Procurement Engineer with a civil engineering background to manage end\-to\-end procurement for construction projects—ensuring the right materials, cost efficiency, and timely delivery to site.

Key Responsibilities:

\- Review project BOQs, drawings, and specs to determine material requirements.
\- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors for civil materials (steel, cement, MEP, finishes).
\- Prepare RFQs, compare bids, and issue purchase orders.
\- Coordinate with site teams to align deliveries with project schedules.
\- Inspect materials on\-site for quality and compliance.
\- Identify cost\-saving and value\-engineering opportunities.
\- Maintain supplier relationships and performance records.

Requirements

\- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.
\- 5+ years as a Procurement Engineer/Officer in UAE building contracting.
\- Strong knowledge of civil materials, construction standards, and local regulations.
\- Able to read technical drawings and BOQs.
\- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
\- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
