Purchase Coordinator- UAE National

Description
• To coordinate purchasing related activities to ensure that the materials required for production/ projects/ site are provided as per schedule and according to specifications and projected budgets


Responsibilities
Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Obtain information on requirement of materials and other outsourced services from the Logistics Manager; liaise with the suppliers/service providers to ensure materials/services are sourced as per the requirements.

• Pick up the materials from the suppliers, ensure they are in line with the project requirement and supply order, inspect goods like timber, veneer, and hardware, glass adhesives etc prior to collection and deliver the materials to the production department.

• Conduct market visits to Metal and Glass fabricators and other suppliers for urgent requirements to ensure quick turn around of orders.

• Coordinate with the stores to obtain current status on stock quantities and provide the information to the Logistics Manager to enable appropriate purchasing.

• Keep abreast of market trends, availability of raw materials and market rates. Conduct market surveys, float enquiries for the price of the materials, receive quotations provide necessary input to estimation/tendering staff.

• Maintain detailed and updated records of vendors, materials, price comparison, consumptions etc for reference purpose


Qualifications
Education/Certification and Continued Education

• High School Certificate.

Years of Experience

• Around 3-4 years of experience with 1 -3 years in joinery industry
