Registered Nurse – Ophthalmology

Job Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join a well-established ophthalmology healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have prior scrub nursing experience, preferably within an ophthalmology or eye-care setting.

Candidates with relevant nursing experience who demonstrate strong clinical skills and a willingness to work in an ophthalmology environment are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist ophthalmic surgeons during surgical procedures as a Scrub Nurse.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, surgical instruments, and required equipment.
• Ensure proper sterilization and infection-control protocols are followed.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning prior to procedures.
• Monitor patients and provide appropriate post-operative nursing care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and nursing records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and healthcare standards.
• Provide patients with appropriate pre-operative and post-operative instructions.
• Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse qualification and relevant professional license/eligibility to practice in the UAE.
• Previous clinical nursing experience.
• Scrub experience is required/preferred.
• Experience in ophthalmology or eye surgery will be a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and surgical procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a clinical and surgical environment.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse with scrub nursing experience, particularly in ophthalmology/eye-care procedures. However, candidates with strong general nursing experience and relevant clinical skills may also be considered.
