The Role

  • Drive du Pay adoption and remittance growth across the Nepalese expatriate community in the UAE, helping establish du Pay as a preferred secure, convenient, and cost-effective remittance solution.
  • Own customer acquisition, activation, retention, reactivation, transaction growth, and community penetration within the Nepalese corridor, reporting to the Channel Lead – Remittance Business with functional oversight from the Remittance Lead – du Pay.
  • Operate as a UAE field-based customer-acquisition and revenue-growth professional with direct accountability for measurable business performance.
  • Build trusted relationships across Nepalese community structures, employer networks, associations, cultural groups, influencers, and customer clusters, translating community credibility into sustainable adoption.
  • Engage blue-collar workers, security personnel, hospitality employees, service-industry workers, transportation employees, skilled workers and technicians, SME owners, Nepalese professionals, and community organizations/associations.
  • Apply strong knowledge of Nepalese community dynamics, remittance behaviours, customer motivations, local networks, and referral-led decision making to strengthen acquisition and conversion.
  • Drive the full customer lifecycle from registration and KYC through wallet activation, first remittance, repeat transaction, active usage, retention, and reactivation.
  • Deliver new registrations, KYC completion, first-time and repeat remittance transactions, dormant-customer reactivation, MAU growth, remittance-volume growth, and deeper community penetration.
  • Leverage the community's strong remittance dependency, high network trust, referral-driven behaviour, active cultural/association participation, concentrated employment/residential clusters, and influence of community leaders and employers.
  • Build success through consistent field engagement, strong relationships, and community credibility, converting access into active remittance users and commercial growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Nepalese community relationships across Sonapur, Muhaisnah, Al Quoz, Jebel Ali, DIP, Sharjah Industrial Areas, Ajman, labour accommodations, and worker housing clusters.
  • Maintain a live database of community leaders, associations, employers, business owners, sports clubs, social groups, cultural organizations, and community influencers, while identifying new acquisition opportunities.
  • Execute customer acquisition through community activations, employer partnerships, referral campaigns, labour-accommodation visits, community events, sports sponsorships, and retail partnerships.
  • Drive app downloads, registrations, KYC completion, and wallet activation while educating customers on the benefits and features of du Pay remittance services.
  • Manage the funnel from Registration KYC Completion Wallet Activation First Remittance Transaction Repeat Transaction Active Customer, actively reducing drop-offs and maximizing registration-to-first-transaction conversion.
  • Build relationships with security companies, hospitality operators, construction companies, facility-management companies, logistics companies, and labour-supply firms employing large numbers of Nepalese workers.
  • Conduct regular workplace activations for employee awareness, customer registration, first-transaction activation, and referral generation.
  • Build Tier 1 relationships with Nepalese association leaders, community committee members, religious leaders, event organizers, business owners, and labour supervisors.
  • Build Tier 2 relationships with WhatsApp group administrators, Facebook community leaders, TikTok creators, YouTube creators, and social-media advocates, using these relationships to create awareness, trust, and referrals.
  • Execute weekly employer visits, accommodation activations, retail partnerships, and community outreach sessions; monthly Nepalese gatherings, cultural celebrations, sports tournaments, awareness campaigns, and referral drives; and quarterly larger community events, festival activations, and strategic community partnerships.
  • Ensure all community activity is directly linked to measurable customer-acquisition and activation outcomes.
  • Convert registered-but-never-transacted users to first transaction; drive second transaction within 30 days for first-time users; increase frequency and loyalty among active users; reactivate dormant users through structured outreach; and strengthen retention/referrals among high-value users.
  • Monitor Al Ansari Exchange, Lulu Exchange, Al Fardan Exchange, Careem Pay, e& money, BOTIM Pay, TapTap Send, Remitly, and Comera Pay, tracking exchange rates, transfer fees, cashback campaigns, promotional offers, referral programs, and community activations.
  • Provide weekly market-intelligence reports with improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of community visits, customer meetings, employer engagements, leads, registrations, activations, referrals, and transactions influenced, with disciplined logging and reporting through company systems.
  • Deliver monthly expectations of 150–250 registrations, 70–100 first-time remittance transactions, 40–70 dormant-customer reactivations, at least 50 community visits, at least 15 influencer/association meetings, and at least 8 community activations, plus assigned remittance-volume, active-user-growth, MAU, and registration-to-activation targets.

Requirements

  • Fluent Nepali is mandatory; English and Hindi are preferred.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of UAE experience with proven field-sales performance.
  • Strong relationship-building capability, comfort working across labour accommodations and employer locations, and ability to travel extensively across assigned territories.
  • Preferred experience within exchange houses, remittance businesses, fintech companies, telecom sales, banking acquisition, merchant acquisition, or FMCG field sales.
  • Strong capability in community engagement/networking, customer acquisition and activation, relationship management, sales and negotiation, territory planning, influencer/stakeholder management, customer lifecycle management, CRM/reporting, problem solving, and results-driven execution.
  • Demonstrable access to Nepalese associations, community groups, clubs, or organizations in the UAE, together with employers, security companies, labour accommodations, or worker communities.
  • Evidence of previous sales targets and achievements and the ability to present a credible plan to acquire and activate 100 Nepalese remittance users within the first 30 days.
  • Ability to explain a structured approach to reactivating customers dormant for at least 90 days and provide an example of a community activation campaign that delivered measurable business results.
  • Candidate evaluation places significant weight on Community Reach & Existing Network and Sales & Customer Acquisition Track Record, followed by UAE Market & Remittance Knowledge and Execution, Reporting & Territory Management. Only candidates with proven field-sales achievements and demonstrable Nepalese community access should be shortlisted.
