We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with deep expertise in reactive programming and event-driven architectures. You will be responsible for designing and building highly scalable, non-blocking backend services using Vert.x, Spring WebFlux, MongoDB, and cloud native technologies.

You will play a key role in architecting production-grade microservices, developing reactive APIs, driving engineering best practices, and mentoring development teams on modern asynchronous design patterns.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop reactive backend services using Java, Vert.x, and Spring WebFlux

• Build highly scalable, non-blocking applications that support large transaction volumes and real-time processing

• Implement asynchronous workflows using reactive streams, futures, event-driven messaging, and parallel execution patterns

• Design and maintain REST APIs using OpenAPI specifications and contract-first development principles

• Develop event-driven solutions leveraging messaging technologies such as Kafka, JMS, or AMQP

• Collaborate with frontend teams, integrating APIs with React, Angular, Vue, and TypeScript applications

• Design and implement cloud native microservices deployed on AWS Kubernetes environments using Docker and Helm

• Implement resilience patterns, including retries, circuit breakers, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation

• Ensure solutions meet production standards for observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, and supportability

• Promote clean architecture, test automation, code quality, and Agile engineering practices

Technical Knowledge

Reactive Java Development

• 10+ years of enterprise software development experience

• Strong Java development experience

• Experience building distributed microservices and API driven applications

• Experience with reactive, asynchronous, or event-driven systems

• Experience with modern backend frameworks such as Vert.x, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Micronaut, Quarkus, or similar technologies

• Experience with MongoDB, NoSQL, and/or relational databases

• Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture, and secure coding practices

• Experience with automated testing using frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
