Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading Tier-1 contracting company in the UAE to recruit an experienced Senior Manager â Stores. The successful candidate will lead and oversee all store and warehouse operations across multiple projects, ensuring efficient inventory management, material control, storage compliance, and timely distribution of construction materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts to support project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement store management strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize inventory control and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, transfer, and disposal of materials across multiple project sites and central warehouses.
- Ensure accurate inventory records and maintain optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted project operations.
- Lead periodic stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Coordinate closely with procurement, logistics, plant, and project teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Monitor inventory turnover, slow-moving items, excess stock, and obsolete materials, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Establish and maintain proper material handling, storage, preservation, and security procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, HSE requirements, and industry best practices.
- Drive digitalization and process improvement initiatives, including ERP and inventory management system optimization.
- Manage warehouse layouts, storage utilization, and resource planning to maximize operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop storekeepers, warehouse supervisors, and inventory control teams.
- Prepare and present inventory reports, KPIs, stock valuation reports, and management dashboards.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and inventory traceability.
- Collaborate with finance teams on inventory valuation, asset tracking, and cost control initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 12â15 years of experience in store management, warehouse operations, inventory control, or materials management within the construction, contracting, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role managing multi-site stores or large-scale warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, material control processes, and warehouse best practices.
- Experience handling construction materials, MEP materials, spare parts, tools, heavy equipment components, and consumables.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or equivalent inventory management platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
