Job Overview

As the Senior Retoucher you will manage all areas of the image editing processes across both Production (product pages) and Creative (marketing content). This includes image quality, process efficiency and budget management. The Production team currently shoot over 500 products a day (2,000+ images) which are retouched and returned from an outsourced partner within 24-48 hours. The Marketing teams shoot images for around 3-4 creative campaigns per month. If successful, you will define and promote the Namshi image editing guidelines for our outsourced partner(s) and work alongside the Image Coordinator to prioritise workloads in order to upload images to site based on business requirements. When required, you’ll manage the editing of creative images ensuring a fast and effective turn-around of marketing assets whilst monitoring the post-production workflow.

Responsibilities 

·         System implementations – Work with the Head of Production and Technology team to identify and implement an efficient post-production workflow solution

·         Production retouching – Daily image retouching of high-priority or high-value products based on the business requirements

·         Creative retouching – Retouching of all creative assets ensuring a fast turn-around of high quality images

·         Studio photography support – Provide daily communication and technical support for photographers to decrease the post-production workload. Advise on lighting, photography settings, product positioning and other techniques to reduce the image editing requirements

·         Reporting – Record and monitor the KPI’s across production including turnaround times and outsourced costs

·         In-house training – Provide training to the Image Coordinator in order to increase the amount of retouching done in-house

·         Image QC and feedback – Monitor the quality and consistency across all in-house photography and outsourced retouching

·         Image uploads – Support the image coordinator uploading images to the site

Skills

·         Minimum 3 years’ experience image retouching for the fashion industry

·         Clear understanding of ecommerce processes and necessary retouching techniques
