Senior Specialist - Business Applications

Senior Specialist - Business Applications is responsible for the assigned ADGM line of business applications and platforms throughout their life cycle. Providing digitization and automation solutions, develop and maintain business applications and implement innovative solutions to meet ADGM’s customer and business needs while ensuring consistent use of best practice methodologies with timely and effective delivery execution.

This role will work with key business and IT stakeholders to confirm requirements, consider design alternatives, develop, enhance and maintain assigned business applications and platforms.

Lead internal and external resources from the initiation of an initiative, requirements gatherings, solutioning, delivery, operations and optimization. Ensuring proper maintenance of complete documentation and records of assigned initiatives and projects in multiple views ranging from Executive Summaries through to detailed technical specifications and designs.

Operational

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, solutioning, and supervising all activities related to the assigned business applications including software programs, applications, and third-party solutions as required to meet the business requirements of the organization.
• Reviews assigned business applications and designs a technical management strategy to meet operational needs; defines resource requirements, and scope and relative priorities of assigned projects.
• Develops assigned business applications; monitors operations and assures the quality of the support services; analyses operational results and develops action plans.
• Develop and operate innovative solutions to meet the requirements of a multi-channel point of interactions for the internal and external clients utilising best practices.
• Aligns business goals with assigned applications roadmaps and priorities
• Provides support for users of assigned business applications; defines problems, identifies and isolates errors, and implements technical solutions to solve problems.
• Manages vendor relationships for assigned applications and platforms and monitors their performance against expectations and contractual obligations.
• Manage onshore and offshore professionals responsible for all developments and operations and maintenance of assigned business applications.
• Evaluates and analyses IT issues, and recommends and implements solutions.
• Recommends improvements to the overall management and development of Business Applications; assures effective communication of operational issues; manages assigned applications implementation and upgrade projects.
• Supports Technology Services by acting as business relationship manager and a trusted advisor to business across ADGM Authorities and various Divisions and Functions covering the assigned Applications and Projects.
• Manages and enforces all aspects of system security and confidentiality of records and information; monitors applications and identifies security issues and violations for assigned applications and platforms.
• Maintains complete documentation related to assigned business applications for ADGM.
• Manages the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for all assigned applications.
• Contributes to long range technology planning; evaluates current operations and future requirements; researches technology options and develops solutions.
• Promotes the Tehnology Services Managements’ goals and priorities in compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records and ADGM information.
• Responsible for gathering proper business requirements for solution evaluations.
• Evaluates and recommends the right applications towards TS Management by thorough study and analysis to ensure all the must have business needs are met.
• Responsible for project and annual budget (CAPEX & OPEX) preparation and expenditure for assigned applications and projects. 
• Performs trend analysis on recurring problems (technical, people, process or other), and takes responsibility for implementing innovative solutions.
• Provides accurate business oversight to reporting Manager to ensure that the business continues to invest in outcomes that deliver real benefits to all stakeholders
• Fosters and embed a culture of ownership and responsibility within TS Team.
• Provides regular Management updates on key metrics of the department's performance
• Responsible for all assigned Applications SLAs and OLA with Business.
• Provides the root causes of critical and high level incidents and problems within agreed timeline.
• Coordinates with service desk to ensure workaround and permanent fix are available and deployed for business applications.
• Adhers to organization and IT policies and procedures.
• Identifies improvement initiatives that will benefit internal and external users experience and operational effectiveness.
• Delivers additional tasks that may be delegated or assigned from ADGM TS Management
• At times may be required to work outside normal business hours and work extended hours to accomplish requirements of the position.

• Confidentiality, Integrity and availability of the ADGM Information shall be maintained at all times i.e. within as well as outside ADGM. 

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with relevant certifications. 
• Minimum 8 - 10+ years’ experience in Application management and development role.
• Ability to demonstrate strong understanding of business needs – ensuring that IT solutions align with strategy and requirements.
• Experience of stakeholder engagement and management up to Senior Executive levels
• Experience of application management concepts, strategies, methodologies, best practices, techniques and technologies.
• Experienced in end-to-end project delivery including requirements elicitation, gathering and re-engineering, documentation at all levels of SDLC, review of the test cases, conducting user acceptance testing and user trainings.
• Experience running formal procurement exercises and negotiating resulting contracts for application licenses, implementation and support
• Experience with Enterprise CRM platforms.
• Experience with Web portals, i.e. internet, intranet.
• Experience with automation and digitization.
• Experience in the management of financial systems (banking, investment banking, FinTech)
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisations supported both internally and externally
• Fluent in Business English
