Site Architect

Excellent opportunity for an experienced/qualified Architect, based on site, providing technical design solutions to any problems encountered on site with focus on the construction phases of development.

Job Role includes but not limited to:

• Responsible for reviewing construction drawings, liaising with on -site engineers, and interfacing with the construction companies and reviewing on site progress.
  
• Need to use the extensive technical and on site construction knowledge to ensure that, the projects are delivered within deadline.
  
• Ensure projects are completed with high levels of technical competency.
  
• Ensure quality assurance mandates and processes occur.
  
• Review and be accountable for design and contract documentation.
  
• Keep on learning skills as per modern practices in the relevant field and update other disciplines organization -wide.
  
• Support the BIM activities by participating with the development and implementation of the archcorp digital roadmap. Contribute to libraries, create rich output model, and develop modeling strategy, clash detection and query resolution.
  
• Issue and respond to all formal correspondences related to BIM activities, develop and maintain specific BIM template files to assure standards compliance.
  
• Develop and enforce BIM documentation and workflow process standards and automate routines in BIM to support standards, quality and productivity.
  
• Travelling to sites to complete physical inspections and site surveys.
  
• Assist the HR team in technical interviews during the recruitment of staff in the Design department.
  
• Keep on learning new skills, updated information and take necessary training as per modern practices in the relevant field and share with the team and other disciplines organization -wide. 
  
• Allocation, distribution and follow up of tasks within the team, checking of works produced.
  
• Ensure deliverables are produced within scope & time constraints committed on project contribute to the Lessons Learnt Database of the company
  

Software expertise : 

BIM360 Autodesk Revit, Auto CAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Navisworks.

Qualification/Experience:

Education: Bachelor in Architecture.

Experience wise must have 10+ years of experience, most recent experience must be in UAE of 6 years minimum, and MUST have worked for well -regarded design consultancies as opposed to Contractors.

Experience on high -rise and hotel projects is required, having seen major structures/ shell and core projects from beginning to completion of construction.

Expert knowledge of Dubai Building regulations and Codes, expert construction knowledge with the ability to articulate well to external consultants/contractors and even Client reps.

Excellent communication skills and team orientated hard working ethics required.

Solid understanding of all phases of a project: competing for the commission, designing, managing, completing the contract document, and seeing it through to completion.
