Technical Product Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Product Specialist with strong knowledge of vehicle construction and the automotive aftermarket. The role involves working with technical documentation, product catalogues, specifications, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Review, approve, and confirm technical drawings for automotive components.
• Make required amendments to drawings and provide brief technical comments in English.
• Prepare product parameter tables, including dimensions, materials, properties, applications, and descriptions.
• Develop technical descriptions, specifications, and product requirements.
• Conduct product testing and quality inspections and analyse the results.
• Identify original and aftermarket spare parts using electronic catalogues.
• Verify vehicle applications and critically assess parts-selection results.
• Cross-reference automotive spare parts and verify the compatibility of alternatives.
• Prepare technical conclusions and reports on completed work.
• Communicate with manufacturers and suppliers regarding technical matters.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of passenger vehicle construction and systems.
• Experience in the automotive spare parts market.
• Knowledge of automotive lubricants, chemicals, and accessories is an advantage.
• Ability to read and review technical drawings.
• Experience working with electronic catalogues for original and aftermarket spare parts.
• Understanding of parts application and cross-referencing principles.
• Ability to process and analyse large volumes of technical information.
• Strong attention to detail, dimensions, and product specifications.
• Ability to communicate technical requirements and comments clearly and concisely.
• Fluency in Russian.
• Working proficiency in English sufficient for technical documentation and business correspondence.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Technical Specialist, Automotive Engineer, Parts Catalogue Specialist, or Quality Specialist.
• Experience working with international manufacturers and suppliers.
• Valid driving licence.
• Experience with TecDoc, Partslink24, OEM catalogues, or similar systems.
