To provide a customer focussed service which meets service needs and requirements, aligned to the HR model and remit of the HR Advice and Support Team. Key result areas include: Provide professional advice, guidance and end to end case management support to managers on all HR policy and procedure; ensuring lessons learned and best practise is shared with the HR Business Partner network and Departments. Ensure complete and robust advice and guidance is provided to customers, supporting with statement of case (as appropriate), attendance in advisory capacity at decision and appeal meetings (as appropriate). Working with and influencing respective Senior HR Business Partners and HR Business Partners to raise and discuss high profile/complex cases for additional support or escalation. Working in conjunction with Legal Services, through deployment of case conference approach as required. Contribute to the Employment Tribunal and Appeals process in conjunction with Legal Services, providing independent case management support as appropriate. Contribute to the effective review of applicable employment policy to support the our vision, values and strategic objectives, ensuring the our legislative requirements are met. Support the development of revised employment policies and associated supporting documentation to ensure these meet legislative requirements and support business delivery as required. Supporting the development of manager workshop and coaching material and delivery as required in conjunction with Head of Learning & Organisational Development, providing a key role in coaching colleagues across the HR function on policy and procedure. Contribute to the effective professional development of the HR function through active and positive participation and wider contributions; prepared to work flexibly across the range of HR responsibilities. Commit to and engage in continued personal and professional development. Engage in horizon scanning, identification of employment best practice and maintain an awareness and understanding of current and future developments within the HR profession. Experience Proven success in advising and influencing on employment policy and procedure in a complex customer focused business environment and across different services and settings with performance monitoring. Significant experience in providing consistent advisory services on employment legislative frameworks and associated employment policy/practices. A local expert and credible on all employment policy and procedure. Contribution to policy development across all areas of HR Effective management of a complex workload against defined targets and timescales. Skills and knowledge Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, with an ability to influence at all levels. Ability to motivate and monitor team performance Sound knowledge of employment legislative frameworks and associated employment policy/practices. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative and inclusive working relationships with key stakeholders and functional colleagues. Excellent time management and organisation skills.
