This long-term freelance role requires a hands-on professional with a proven track record in modular construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Due to the nature of the site, a recent EL1 security clearance is mandatory to gain access to the prison environment. This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all site operations for the modular building project Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and labour teams to meet programme milestones Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Maintain site documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and permits Manage quality control and snagging processes to ensure high standards of workmanship Liaise with client representatives and project teams to resolve issues and maintain progress Enforce site security protocols in line with EL1 clearance requirements Skills Proven experience managing modular building projects Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Thorough understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and workstreams effectively Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Experience in site logistics and programme management Competent in quality control and snagging procedures Ability to work in secure environments requiring EL1 clearance IT literacy for site reporting and documentation Certifications & Standards EL1 Security Clearance (recent and valid) – mandatory SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) First Aid at Work CSCS Card (appropriate level) Application Please email your CV, certificates, and EL1 clearance certificate to .
