As the Steel Fixer you will work as part of a site team responsible for positioning and securing steel bars or mesh to reinforce concrete structures. DUTIES Your duties as the Steel Fixer include: Work Area Set-Up: Set out the work area using site plans Bar and Mesh Preparation: Cut and bend bars or mesh Rebar Tying: Tie rebar together with wire, clips or welds to build up sections Spacers and Supports: Fit spacers and supports Formwork and Shuttering: Fix the wooden formwork and shuttering used to hold setting concrete in place Steel Fixing to Bases: Fix steel to concrete bases Beam and Slab Installation: Install beams and pre-cast slabs CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS NVQ in Steel Fixing preferred Valid Blue CSCS Card Ability to understand technical drawings Extensive construction experience working in a similar role Experience tying reinforced steel Capable of shuttering and concreting Reliable, hardworking and committed to working safely while delivering high-quality workmanship HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
