The British Council is seeking a highly organised and proactive Exams Officer to ensure the smooth, secure and efficient delivery of examinations across the UK & Ireland. This role plays a central part in coordinating test operations—planning, scheduling, logistics, test‑day delivery and post‑test services—while maintaining exceptional customer experience and full compliance with corporate and awarding‑body standards.
The Test Day Delivery Coordinator ensures that all exams run safely, accurately and on time. The role leads operations at test venues, manages test day staff, resolves issues in real time, and ensures that all processes meet British Council and exam board requirements. Working in a fast‑paced environment, the post holder supports continuous improvement, risk management and operational excellence across the Exams unit.
Staff who work in our London Office receive a London Market allowance (LMA) which is an allowance paid in addition to their salary. The allowance is given in recognition of the high cost of living in London. The allowance is currently worth £3,300.
