Accounting Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to take on a pivotal position within our finance team. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong background in accounting and a passion for leadership, who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with standard accounting practices.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, presenting findings to senior management.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including reconciliations.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an accounting role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
