Job Description - Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant

This is a really exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi-Senior Accoutnant to join a fast growing and fantastic independent accountancy practice based in Ashford. You will be offered study support if required and a progressive position where you will have the opportunity to progress in your career. The practice is taking on lots of new business, and there is a very clear route to work in a management capacity within the business in the future.

The firm has a modern style and approach and a well-earned reputation as a leading advisor to SME owner managed businesses across the South East. The practice provides clients with year-end accounts, tax compliance & advisory, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and payroll services. You will have the opportunity to get involved in all areas of accounting and take on as much responsibility as you feel comfortable with. They have a very relaxed and close knit, team orientated culture, where there is the opportunity for flexible hours, hybrid working, or part-time hours if needs be.

Prepare year-end statutory accounts
Prepare corporation and personal tax computations
Prepare monthly or quarterly bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns
Work closely with junior members of staff

Requirements

For this fantastic Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accoutnant opportunity in Ashford, you may be studenty he AAT or ACCA or be qualified by experience.
You will have a background in an accountancy practice, with at least 1-3 years or more experience preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
You will be looking for a challenging, long term career move, at Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior Accoutnant level, within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of accountants, offering progression and career development.
