Job Description

What Does a Care Professional Do?

Being a Care Professional is about much more than practical care.

Some days, it might mean sitting down with a client over a cuppa and having a proper chat. Other days, you could be helping someone get ready, picking up their shopping, accompanying them to an appointment or simply being there to make their day a little easier.

Depending on the person you’re supporting, your visits could include:

  • Companionship, conversation and a friendly face
  • Light housekeeping to help keep their home comfortable
  • Shopping, errands and accompanying clients to appointments
  • Medication reminders
  • Personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming
  • Supporting clients to stay safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes

Qualifications

Never Worked in Care Before? That’s OK.

You don’t need a care background to become a great carer.

Some of our team joined us from retail, hospitality, customer service, parenting and completely different careers.

What matters most is how you treat people. If you’re naturally kind, dependable, respectful and willing to learn, we’ll give you the training and support you need to get started.

You’ll need to be:

  • Caring, compassionate and dependable
  • Comfortable building a trusted relationship with clients
  • A good listener who makes people feel at ease
  • Confident working independently
  • A driver with a valid driving licence and access to a reliable car
  • Able to provide proof of your right to work in the UK

Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship or sponsorship transfers for this role.
