We are looking for a highly motivated CCTV Operator to join our Community Safety Team. This is an important role where you will play a key part in helping to keep our communities safe, supporting emergency responses, and other partner agencies to prevent and detect crime and anti-social behaviour.
Based within our CCTV control room, you will monitor live and recorded footage, respond to incidents as they occur and provide accurate evidence and intelligence to authorised partners. No two shifts are the same so you will need excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and while remaining calm and professional in challenging situations

This is a role where your observations, decisions and actions can make a genuine difference. Whether identifying an incident as it unfolds, supporting emergency services or providing vital evidence to assist an investigation, you will be an integral part of our wider community safety response.
The successful applicant will be subject to the Council’s Standard Disclosure checks, and this post will require an enhanced Police vetting check. Please note that an offer of employment will not be made until all required checks have been successfully completed.
If you are shortlisted you will be invited to attend a face-to-face assessment centre, where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate the skills and attributes required for the role through a combination of practical exercises.
We have opportunities within the team on a full time or part time basis working a rotating shift-pattern covering 365 days a year, including bank holidays and unsociable hours. The appropriate shift allowance will apply.
Full-time hours are 35 hours per week over 7 days.
Part Time hours are flexible and should be discussed and agreed with your line manager.
