Director of Operations - London Marriott Hotel County Hall

Located on London's iconic South Bank, London Marriott Hotel County Hall combines rich heritage with contemporary luxury. Home to the award-winning Gillray's Steakhouse & Bar, famous for its exceptional dining and collection of over 100 gins, County Hall offers the opportunity to be part of a truly unique hospitality experience.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Director of Operations to join our Executive Committee and lead all aspects of hotel operations. As a strategic business leader, you will develop and implement property-wide initiatives that enhance guest satisfaction, drive financial performance, strengthen associate engagement, and deliver a strong return on investment.

Working closely with the General Manager, ownership stakeholders, and department leaders, you will oversee Front of House, Retail, Recreation, Housekeeping, Security, Engineering, and Food & Beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and sustainable business success.

• Leading and developing departmental leaders across all operational functions.


• Driving operational excellence while ensuring brand standards and service expectations are consistently achieved.


• Developing and executing operational strategies aligned with business and brand objectives.


• Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, and guest satisfaction.


• Managing departmental budgets and delivering commercial performance against agreed targets.


• Proactively leading capital expenditure projects and ensuring investment supports the hotel's strategic priorities.


• Using business insight and operational data to identify challenges, drive solutions, and deliver continuous improvement.


• Building strong relationships with guests, associates, ownership groups, and key stakeholders.


• Championing a culture of engagement, accountability, and service excellence across the property.


• Leading the implementation of brand and regional initiatives while ensuring successful execution at property level.

• Proven leadership experience within a luxury or premium hospitality environment.


• Strong experience leading complex, multi-department hotel operations.


• Demonstrated commercial acumen with a track record of delivering financial and operational results.


• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, productivity, and capital investment projects.


• Strong stakeholder management skills, including exposure to ownership and asset management relationships.


• A passion for guest experience combined with a focus on profitability and operational efficiency.


• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.


• Degree qualification in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.
