About the Opportunity

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Dispensing Optician to join an established, multi-site optical group in Burton-on-Trent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy 7-testing-room store with a strong clinical team. You’ll be working alongside four other Dispensing Opticians, meaning you’ll have plenty of support and won’t be the only DO on-site.

The practice has a strong reputation for delivering high levels of patient care, with an experienced team and a collaborative working environment.

The Role

As a Dispensing Optician, you’ll be responsible for providing patients with a high-quality dispensing experience, from frame and lens selection through to fitting and aftercare.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dispensing a wide range of frames and lenses to patients


• Providing expert advice on lens options and eyewear


• Taking accurate measurements and ensuring excellent fitting


• Working closely with the Optometrists and wider clinical team


• Building strong relationships with patients and delivering excellent customer service


• Supporting the wider store team to achieve clinical and commercial objectives


• Maintaining high professional and clinical standards

About You

We’re looking for a qualified Dispensing Optician who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and enjoys working as part of a team.

You’ll ideally have:

• GOC registration as a Dispensing Optician


• Strong dispensing and patient-facing experience


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• A genuine interest in providing high-quality patient care


• A collaborative approach to working within a larger clinical team
