With strong government backing and growing client demand, the heat networks market is expanding rapidly and set to grow significantly over the next decade. Alongside this, the introduction of the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS) has brought new levels of regulation, raising the bar for performance, quality and accountability across the sector. This is an opportunity to be part of that change. We’re looking for a Heat Networks Engineer to join a specialist team delivering high-quality, compliant and future-ready solutions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll contribute directly to project delivery, technical standards, and the development of others. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll play a key role across the full lifecycle of heat network projects, including: Design: Leading or contributing to the design of new and existing heat networks, optimising performance and efficiency Technical Assurance / Guardian Role: Reviewing designs, contractor information, and site installations to ensure compliance and quality Performance Monitoring: Supporting post-occupancy evaluation to ensure systems meet operational targets Optimisation & Troubleshooting: Improving existing systems, diagnosing issues, and developing practical solutions Funding Support: Assisting with applications for government funding schemes such as the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) Standards Development: Creating tools, guidance, and internal resources to support consistent, high-quality delivery Mentorship: Supporting and guiding graduate and junior engineers Why Join?
