Our team continues to grow, while our high standards of delivery are always maintained. Our priority is fulfilling the requirements of the major fire and electrical compliance contracts we’re responsible for, to protect the safety of citizens, public sector workers and local residents. Every day we work to exceed the expectations of our local authority, housing association, blue lights services and education customers. All our customers need us to deliver compliant fire and electrical systems, but equally believe in us because of our responsiveness, flexibility, problem-solving and friendliness. Local by Design We recruit our team from the communities where we work. This local by design approach extends our knowledge and insights into community culture, geography and challenges. This in turn enables us to work efficiently but also improves our ability to negotiate entry into people’s homes to complete essential works. Being local to the area, means our team members also have the extra motivation to serve residents well. Our engineers in the field are coordinated by our central service desk team, who have full oversight of each engineer’s schedule. Restocking of vans takes place locally. This equally increases the efficiency of our service and supports local economies in the process. Working locally has the further benefit of reducing road miles, cutting down the fuel we use and supporting work-life balance. The well-being of our colleagues and helping to achieve a zero carbon planet are things we care about and actively pursue at RGE Services. We view both things as core responsibilities of ours, however the wellbeing of our people and the planet are equally critical to our success. We continuously expand our health and safety, community and environment programmes to support our customers’ ESG (environment, social, governance) objectives. Investing in People Our leadership team is enthusiastic about investing in people who are motivated to learn and wants to expand the diversity of our team to include more female engineers, while continuously reflecting the communities where we work. We currently have a 50% BAME workforce. Overall, we have a high retention rate amongst employees, with many of our senior leaders starting and building their careers here, demonstrating to others they can do the same. Managing and measuring our responsibilities With the full commitment of our board and support from our investors, we’re setting targets for our environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and regularly reporting on our progress. Our core purpose as a business is protecting people and property through fire and electrical compliance. By necessity we’re a responsible business. Yet we’re committed to going further, to maximise the positive impacts we have on our team and local communities and to minimise our negative impacts on the environment. We have a local by design approach to reduce road miles, a rapidly expanding apprenticeship programme, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and have made a commitment to hybrid and soon electric vehicles. These are just some examples of how we manage our ESG performance. We have six themes for organising and measuring what we do. These are: Environment Health, Safety and Wellbeing Marketplace Supply Chain Community Governance Taking action Our first assessment against these six themes highlighted a set of actions should take to bring a more structured approach to managing and measuring our ESG performance. The actions included: Increasing the governance of ESG in our business A board member is now accountable for driving ESG initiatives and progress Maintaining stakeholder engagement We have re-introduced our customer surveys and introduced an annual employee survey Driving diversity and inclusion We have reviewed our recruitment policies in line with best practice to encourage more diversity in our business Supporting employee wellbeing A new element to our employee wellbeing strategy is giving our employees access to a free and anonymous external support line Similar Door Access Engineer Jobs Popular with Other Job Seekers Mobile Vehicle Technician - Maidstone RAC Little Buckland, Maidstone (ME14), ME14 1AD Up to £52,000 OTE 2 weeks ago Mobile AC Engineer CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd Kent, Kent £44000 per annum 4 weeks ago Field Service Engineer, Medical Sterilisation Systems TRS Consulting Maidstone, Kent £55K (OTE £65K) + Bonus + Car 2 days ago Field Service Engineer (With Site Cover) Pioneer Selection Gravesend (DA11), DA11 £38k - 45k per year + Benefits Package 3 weeks ago Ventilation Engineer HR GO Recruitment West Malling (ME19) £30000 - £36000 per annum 2 weeks ago Maintenance Engineer Pioneer Selection Langley, Maidstone (ME17), ME17 £46,155 per year 1 month ago Pump Service Engineer Ernest Gordon Recruitment Maidstone (ME14) £40000 - £47000 per annum + van, overtime, progression 3 weeks ago Senior Electrical Engineer DS SMITH PACKAGING LIMITED Sittingbourne, Kent Competitive + benefits 4 days ago Air Conditioning Engineer Get Staffed Online Recruitment Chatham (ME4) £60000 - £80000 per annum 5 days ago Field Service Engineer Neos Recruitment Limited Snipeshill, Sittingbourne (ME10), ME10 3RY £40k - 43k per year + Overtime + Van 1 week ago Engineering jobs Engineering jobs in Maidstone Building Services jobs Building Services jobs in Maidstone Jobs in Maidstone Get hired.
