Early Years Teaching Assistant

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Nursery)
Contract: Long-Term Ongoing
Pay Rate: £92 - £120 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Monarch Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Edgbaston seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support children within their Nursery class. This is a full-time, long-term position offering the opportunity to make a real difference during a crucial stage of children's development.

We are looking for a caring and proactive individual who can nurture children's learning, wellbeing, and independence while working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team.

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning within the Nursery classroom.
Assist with the delivery of engaging and creative Early Years activities.
Encourage the social, emotional, and educational development of pupils.
Provide support during play-based learning sessions both indoors and outdoors.
Assist with observations and contribute to children's learning records when required.
Support children with personal care needs, including toileting and changing where necessary.
Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Requirements

A recognised Early Years specific qualification (Level 2, Level 3, or equivalent).
Experience working within a Nursery, Preschool, or Early Years setting.
A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
Confidence supporting children's personal care needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
