The position involves providing support to the manufacturing business covering a full range of maintenance to all of the site’s equipment. You will perform a schedule of planned preventative maintenance in order to minimise downtime and be on hand to deal with breakdown in a quick and efficient manner so that production can resume very quickly. The role requires someone who can complete electrical maintenance so you should have a relevant electrical qualification. The job itself will have a great deal of variety and include: · Emergency breakdown maintenance . Instrumentation repairs, modifications and upgrades · Completing a schedule of planned preventive maintenance · Working on engineering projects · Logging all records and completing documentation · Performing continuous improvement activities · Operating to health and safety standards · Complying with quality and industry standards · Working on control systems, drives and PLC’s The job involves working across several departments, building good working relationships with colleagues and also dealing with external contractors where required.
