Job Title: Electronics Repair Engineer
Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Private Medical Insurance
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Repair Engineer to join our laboratory instrument service and support team. This hands -on, workshop -based role involves refurbishing, testing, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of laboratory equipment to high standards. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent problem -solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Refurbish, configure, and thoroughly test laboratory instruments
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs at component and sub -assembly levels
- Calibrate instruments to exacting specifications using precision equipment
- Work accurately from technical drawings, manuals, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment
- Prepare instruments for online sales and customer delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Solid knowledge of electronic and electro -mechanical assemblies
- Proficiency in using calibration and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical documentation
- Logical, methodical problem -solving approach
- Good IT skills and meticulous record -keeping
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Education & Experience
- ONC/HNC, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field
- Experience in servicing, repairing, or calibrating laboratory or medical equipment is advantageous but not essential
- Candidates with transferable technical skills from related sectors are encouraged to apply
