Environmental Protection Officer – North West (6-Month Contract)
Rate: £40–£42 per hour
Location: North West, England
Contract Length: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Protection Officer to support a local authority in the North West on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Monitoring and investigating air quality issues, including responding to complaints and reviewing data

* Carrying out statutory nuisance investigations and taking enforcement action where necessary

* Preparing reports, notices, and evidence for legal proceedings

* Liaising with internal departments, external agencies, and the public to resolve environmental concerns

Requirements:

* Strong working knowledge of environmental protection legislation

* Experience in air quality monitoring and nuisance investigations

* Excellent communication and report-writing skills
