The business has been trading for over 25 years, recently transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust, and delivers building envelope packages nationwide for major main contractors and housebuilders including the likes of Barratt London and Midas Group. The company covers the full building envelope, from roofing and cladding through to SFS framing systems, insulation and fixings, working with premium manufacturer partners such as Kingspan, Eurobond, Ash Lacy, FrameClad SFS, Encon and Fixfast. Recent and ongoing projects have included high-rise residential blocks, education and public sector schemes and commercial developments across the South West, Wales, the Midlands, Devon and London. This role is not looking for a very senior estimator. The right candidate will have some relevant experience and the appetite to grow into the role with real mentoring and support. Estimator Salary & Benefits * Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 (DOE) * Employee Ownership Trust Annual Bonus of up to £3,600 tax-free (subject to company performance) * 20 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays * Christmas Shutdown in Addition to Holiday Entitlement * BrightHR Employee Benefits Including Online GP Appointments and Counselling Support * Additional Employee Perks Through BrightHR Scheme * Pension Scheme * Ongoing Training and Development with Real Mentoring from Senior Team * Established employee-owned business with 25 plus years of trading history Estimator Job Overview * Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for roofing, cladding, SFS and wider building envelope packages * Carry out take-offs from drawings and specifications, calculating labour, material and preliminary costs * Manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission within required deadlines * Populate and submit client pricing schedules and bills of quantities * Coordinate with premium system manufacturers to confirm technical specifications and pricing * Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required * Liaise with clients, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors to clarify scope * Research current material, labour and plant costs to ensure pricing remains competitive * Maintain accurate records of tender submissions, queries and RFIs * Support handover of secured projects to the delivery team * Develop your knowledge and skill set with support from the senior commercial team Estimator Requirements * Some relevant estimating experience within roofing, cladding, building envelope or a closely related trade discipline * Understanding of composite panel, SFS framing, insulation, non-combustible facade or standard roofing systems is advantageous * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications * Numerically strong with a keen eye for detail * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel * Confident communicator, able to liaise professionally with clients, suppliers and site teams * A proactive attitude and genuine appetite to develop within the role * Full UK driving licence * Based within commutable distance of Bristol What Makes This Opportunity Different? * Employee Ownership Trust status means you share in the financial success of the business through a tax-free annual bonus of up to £3,600 * A rare development opportunity for an Estimator to grow into a role with real mentoring support behind them * Full building envelope estimating exposure across roofing, cladding, SFS and insulation packages * Established specialist with over 25 years of trading history, working with tier 1 housebuilders and main contractors nationwide * Work with premium system manufacturer partners including Kingspan, Eurobond, Ash Lacy, FrameClad SFS, Encon and Fixfast * A genuinely people-first business where staff wellbeing is backed by proper benefits including BrightHR support Bennett & Game Recruitment are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
