Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer will join our team based in Northern Ireland. From time to time international travel will be required. The Engineer will have a background in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Physics and ideally have previous cleanroom experience working on complex systems such as those used in the Semiconductor industry. The engineer must be equally comfortable working in a team or by themselves. They must have excellent communication skills, be able to remain calm and professional in all scenarios and enjoy problem solving. Understanding mechanical and electrical schematics will be advantageous.

Responsibilities include -

• Successfully troubleshoot issues as they arise on our equipment.
• Perform tool maintenance, system modifications and software upgrades.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues in EMEA and those at at our head office in Japan.
• Represent Canon in a positive manner at all times.
• Be proactive and propose solutions with confidence.
• Parts inventory management.
• Develop close working relationships with our customers.
• Understand the needs of customers and share that information with management.
• Thoroughly record details of work undertaken or completed.
