Job Description - FrontEnd software Engineer

Senior Frontend Software Engineer (React / TypeScript)

Location:â¯Bristol, UK
Working model:â¯Hybrid ââ¯2 days onâsite per week (mandatory)

Role Summary

We are seekingâ¯Senior Frontend Software Engineersâ¯to work within crossâfunctionalâ¯feature teamsâ¯delivering frontâend led capabilities for theâ¯Data Marketplace. The role focuses on buildingâ¯accessible, highâquality, and wellâtested user interfacesâ¯on a cloudânative platform running onâ¯Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Engineers are expected to take strong technical ownership of frontend delivery, contribute to technical direction, and support other engineers within the team.

Skillsets required:

Primary focus on experienced Frontend Software Engineers, with strong React expertise.
Proven experience building accessible, testable, scalable user interfaces.
Strong test-first mindset (TDD) and confidence writing automated tests.

Hands-on experience with:
* React, JavaScript/TypeScript
* JestJS and modern frontend testing practices
* Accessibility standards (WCAG) and tooling (axe-core)

Desirable (bonus) skills:
* Backend development with Java / Quarkus
* Working with REST APIs and PostgreSQL
* DevOps exposure across CI/CD pipelines, containers and Kubernetes

Experience operating at Senior level, including:
* Technical ownership of solutions
* Coaching/mentoring other engineers
* Contributing to architectural and technical direction
