HGV Technician – Gloucester

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Heavy Vehicle Technician or HGV Mechanic to join an established workshop in Gloucester. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), have previous HGV or commercial vehicle experience and have the right to work in the UK. A Full UK Driving Licence and Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence are preferred but not essential.

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £17.00 - £18.33 per hour,  with higher rates available subject to experience and qualifications

Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, approximately 8:00am–5:00pm - Can be flexible 
Overtime: Paid at 1.25x basic rate

Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
Carry out preventative maintenance inspections
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and rectify defects
Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults
Complete repairs to required workshop standards
Maintain accurate job cards and workshop recordsHGV Technician Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician
Strong mechanical, servicing and diagnostic skills
Right to work in the UK
Full UK Driving Licence preferred
Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence preferred but not essential
