Highway Inspector

Our client is seeking a skilled Highway Inspector to join their team on a contract basis in the Leicestershire region, specifically Northern Leicestershire.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting routine and ad-hoc inspections of highways and related infrastructure
Identifying and documenting defects or potential hazards in the highways
Ensuring compliance with relevant safety and maintenance standards
Preparing detailed reports based on inspections and findings
Collaborating with maintenance teams to prioritise and address issues
Maintaining accurate records of inspections and completed works
Liaising with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Driving to various locations within North Leicestershire for inspections

Job Requirements:

Experience in highway inspection or related field
Proficient understanding of highways maintenance and safety standards
Ability to use own vehicle with mileage compensation offered
Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Capability to work independently and manage time effectively
Relevant qualification or certification in highways inspection is desirable
