This is a technically focused commercial role supporting the sales team with quotations, costings and solution development for automation, control and drive systems. The successful candidate will act as the link between sales and engineering, translating customer requirements into clear, technically robust proposals. Responsibilities for Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer As Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer, you will review customer specifications, configure suitable technical solutions and prepare detailed quotations and proposals. You will work closely with sales, engineering, suppliers and customers to ensure solutions are technically viable and commercially competitive. • Prepare quotations, costings, technical specifications and proposals • Configure automation and control solutions from customer requirements • Estimate engineering resources, equipment and project requirements • Produce system topologies and supporting technical documentation • Act as the technical interface between sales and engineering teams • Attend customer surveys, tender meetings and site visits where required • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams Requirements for Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer The ideal candidate will have an electrical, electronic, mechatronic or automation engineering background with a good understanding of systems integration.
