We’re supporting a fast-paced manufacturing site looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team operating across automated production and packaging lines. This is not a standing-around role. You’ll be fault finding on live production issues, keeping machinery moving during busy shifts and working on a wide range of equipment including conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, drives and automated process machinery. The site needs engineers who can think practically under pressure, communicate properly with production and take ownership of breakdowns rather than waiting to be told what to do. What the role involves: Reactive and planned maintenance across high-speed production lines Electrical and mechanical fault finding Working on conveyors, motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics and drives Supporting machinery reliability and reducing downtime Assisting with installations and continuous improvement projects Working closely with production teams during live operational issues Using CMMS systems to manage maintenance activity What they’re looking for: Level 3 Engineering qualification Previous manufacturing or production engineering experience Strong fault-finding ability Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment Engineers who take pride in keeping production running Why engineers are interested: Stable long-term business Good engineering exposure across varied equipment Proper hands-on role Strong earning package Team environment where engineers are trusted to do their job If you’d like to find out more, apply now or contact Adam Hickman at Apex Appoint for a confidential conversation.
