Reporting to the Commissioner, Legislative Services, the Manager, Court Services is accountable for the effective administration, service delivery and financial management of the City’s Provincial Offences Act (POA) program on behalf of the City and its municipal partners.
The Manager provides operational leadership and oversight of court administration processes, financial controls and customer service activities, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, accurately and in compliance with applicable legislation, Ministry requirements, inter-municipal agreements and corporate policies.
The position leads and supports Court Services staff, fosters a safe, collaborative and service-focused work environment, and acts as a key resource for municipal partners, government representatives, legal stakeholders, elected officials and members of the public. Through effective program administration, continuous improvement and responsive service delivery, the Manager supports accountability and public confidence in Court Services operations.
The following would be considered assets:
A three-year college diploma or university degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Legal Administration or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
