Skills and experience • Proven history working as an MET Technician inside a professional accident repair centre or busy bodyshop environment. • Relevant industry qualifications (such as NVQ Level 3, ATA, IMI, or City & Guilds) are highly desirable but equal weight is given to solid, hands-on mechanical and trim experience. Job Responsibilities for the MET Technician role: • Executing complex mechanical, trim, and electrical strip and fit processes on accident-damaged vehicles. • Dismantling, preparing, and rebuilding vehicle body components, trims, and interior panels back to factory specifications. • Utilizing diagnostic equipment to identify automotive faults, check electrical errors, and clear vehicle codes. • Running precise four-wheel alignment tests and mechanical adjustments to guarantee roadworthiness. • Documenting all workflow processes accurately on internal systems and workshop job cards. • Highlighting any hidden structural or mechanical damage directly to the estimating team for supplemental approval.
