This permanent role involves maintaining and supporting Windracers UAV, ensuring they are of the highest operational standard. With a 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rota, you will need to be adaptable and ready to work in diverse, challenging environments, including conflict zones. Key Responsibilities: Embodiment of planned fleet modifications Completion of scheduled maintenance Diagnosing, planning, and completing unscheduled maintenance and repair Collaborating with engineering/R&D on post manufacture product development modifications Conducting ground testing for quality assurance and fault diagnosis Rectifying faults found during ground testing Supporting ground handling, refuelling, and flying operations Ensuring compliance with airspace regulations and safety protocols Documenting and reporting issues, gathering necessary data Staying informed about aviation regulations and obtaining necessary permits Coordinating with ground crews, project managers, and team members Recording flight, maintenance, modification, and incident activities accurately Participating in training programmes to stay updated on UAV technology and best practices Carrying out general duties to accomplish the company's goals Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Maintain currency with industry practices and foster continuous learning Lead by example, adhering to company policies and promoting safety Supervisory Responsibilities: Plan day-to-day operations and manage project delivery Balance resource planning, risk management, and deadlines Qualifications & Experience: Experienced vehicle technician (air, automotive, marine, or rail) Proficient in mechanical or electrical/electronic vehicle fault diagnosis Supervisory experience in trade groups Capability to adapt and learn new skills Proficiency in reading and giving feedback on engineering drawings Experience with Microsoft Office Desirable: Instructional experience and project management software usage Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines Personal Qualities: Self-starter with an inquiring mindset and results-oriented Willingness to travel globally and potentially live in austere conditions Team player, determined, resilient, and proactive Qualification Requirements: Clean driving licence (C1, D1, D1E) Right to work in the UK Ability to travel within EU and non-EU territories Vetting and security clearance as required Professional Development: Pursue continuous professional development to maintain an awareness of service provider requirements If you are a skilled technician looking for a challenging opportunity within the aerospace sector, we would love to hear from you.
