This is a hands-on, fast-paced role working with modern production technology where you’ll play a key part in maintaining performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across site operations. Whether you prefer a shift-based role with enhanced earning potential or a more traditional days-only pattern, both options are available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across production equipment Support production during start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs Diagnose faults using control systems and data (including PLCs) Work across processing, packaging, bulk handling, and site services Identify and implement improvements to improve efficiency and reliability Support energy reduction, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with production, hygiene, and safety teams What We’re Looking For Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, Degree or equivalent) Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or automated environments Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (electrical and mechanical) Understanding of health & safety legislation (e.g. PUWER; IOSH desirable) A proactive approach with the ability to anticipate and solve problems Strong teamwork and communication skills What’s on Offer Competitive salary based on shift pattern and experience Profit-related bonus Award-winning pension scheme Life assurance cover Option to purchase additional annual leave Employee discounts and online benefits platform Free GP access and wellbeing support (including physiotherapy) Ongoing training and personal development Modern on-site facilities with complimentary products Why Join Us This is an opportunity to join a well-invested, forward-thinking manufacturing site where engineering is valued as a critical function.
