Nursery Practitioner

Up to £30,200 per year | Up to 42.5 Hours per Week

This welcoming nursery is set in a beautiful countryside location and provides an inspiring environment where children are encouraged to explore, create and follow their curiosity. Inside, age-specific rooms have been carefully arranged to support children through each stage of their Early Years journey, providing appropriate resources, activities and experiences as they grow.

The nursery is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner who can bring energy and creativity to the team while providing the nurturing, consistent care children need to feel confident and secure.

What We're Looking For

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.


• Previous experience within a nursery or Early Years setting.


• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.


• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.


• Confidence creating engaging learning experiences appropriate to children's ages and abilities.


• Ability to recognise children's individual interests and use these to inspire future activities.


• A creative approach to Early Years learning.


• Strong communication and teamwork skills.


• A warm, patient and enthusiastic personality.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create engaging experiences that encourage children to investigate, imagine and discover.


• Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS.


• Adapt activities to reflect children's individual interests and developmental stages.


• Encourage confidence, independence and creativity through everyday play.


• Support children within carefully designed, age-specific learning environments.


• Make the most of the nursery's surroundings to inspire outdoor and nature-based experiences.


• Observe children's development and use this to identify meaningful next steps.


• Build secure relationships with children and positive partnerships with their families.


• Support children's individual routines, emotional wellbeing and personal care.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistently high standards.


• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
