Nightshift Warehouse Operative (Band N2)

Immediate start

The role

·       Ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to, reporting any areas of concern to a Team Leader or Manager immediately

·       Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures

·       Work to standard operating procedures, ensuring that processes are adhered to

·       Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) when trained to do so, ensuring visual safety checks prior to use ensuring that all defects are reported

·       Maintain high levels of stock accuracy, carry out stock counts as required by Line Management

·       Maintain high standards of site house-keeping

·       Keep up to date with all relevant training regarding product handling, assembly, health and safety

·        Support a culture where the customer is at the heart of everything we do

·       Care of products as if they were your own

·       To adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

·       To undertake any tasks as reasonably requested by management.

Knowledge/Skills

·       Understands the importance of an effective warehousing operation

·       Professional attitude

·       Clear, confident verbal communicator

·       Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items

·       Desirable – previous experience of using Mechanical Handling Equipment, Hand Held Scanners/PDA

·       Familiarity with computer-based WMS.

·       Meticulous attention to detail combined with speed of work.

·       System-led approach while showing initiative to fix system issues immediately and pro-actively.
