Derby
Day shifts: 06:00–18:00 | Four days on, four days off
Use your security experience in a varied role supporting officers, building customer relationships and helping keep daily operations running smoothly.
This could suit a security officer ready to take on broader responsibilities, or a supervisor who enjoys organising people and solving problems. Previous operations coordinator experience is helpful, but isn’t essential—we provide full training.
You’ll combine office work, site visits and frontline security duties, giving you the opportunity to stay involved on the ground while developing your operational experience.
What we offer
Four-on, four-off day shifts, giving you a regular working pattern.
Full training to help you become confident in the role.
Workplace pension
Lifestyle discounts covering shopping, leisure, holidays, days out, motoring and more.
Discounted gym membership.
24/7 GP access, including video consultations and a private prescription service.
24/7 counselling and legal support.
Access to up to 50% of earned wages before payday.
Easy access to shift schedules, communications and payslips through our employee software.
What you’ll do
Your work will help our officers feel supported, our customers stay informed and our services run reliably.
You’ll:
Coordinate staffing and shift cover: monitor attendance, help maintain rotas and arrange cover when requirements change.
Support our officers: carry out site visits and welfare checks, making sure teams have the information, equipment and support they need.
Maintain customer relationships: complete service checks, listen to feedback and follow up concerns through to resolution.
Work frontline security shifts: undertake planned duties and provide operational cover, setting a professional example.
Keep accurate records: complete reports, incident logs, operational records and clear handovers, alongside emails and telephone enquiries.
Help resolve operational issues: respond calmly to changing priorities and report incidents, safety concerns or service problems.
What you’ll bring
You’ll need:
A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise when plans change.
Clear written and spoken English for reports, handovers and customer communication.
A professional, helpful approach, with the confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
A checkable work or education history covering the previous five years.
Three years’ security experience is preferred, but isn’t essential. Experience supervising officers, planning rotas or supporting several sites would be an advantage. Familiarity with email, spreadsheets, smartphones and reporting systems would also be useful.
Your working pattern
You’ll work 06:00–18:00 on a four-on, four-off rota, including weekends and bank holidays when they fall within your scheduled working days. The role includes office duties, site visits and frontline security shifts.
