As an Electrical Construction Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules that support the safe and efficient delivery of electrical installation activities across the project. 



Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Developing and maintaining detailed Level 5 electrical construction schedules.

  • Producing and updating four-week lookahead plans to support short-term delivery objectives.

  • Aligning electrical work schedules with the wider 16-week project lookahead and programme milestones.

  • Monitoring progress and measuring installed quantities against planned outputs.

  • Providing accurate and evidence-based schedule updates to support project reporting and decision-making.

  • Integrating engineering, material availability, access requirements, resource planning, quality requirements and commissioning activities into construction schedules.

  • Working closely with construction and delivery teams to confirm activity readiness and identify potential constraints.

  • Supporting the identification and mitigation of scheduling risks to ensure predictable project delivery.

  • Producing planned versus actual productivity reports and quantity tracking information.


 


Qualifications:



  • HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS Security Clearance.

  • Strong understanding of construction planning methodologies and project controls principles.

  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools within complex construction environments


 


Experience:



  • Planning experience within construction or major infrastructure projects.

  • Previous experience developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules.

  • Experience tracking progress, productivity and installed quantities against programme targets.

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, workface planning and project delivery processes.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, construction, quality and commissioning teams.

  • Experience within the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries would be advantageous.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project data and communicate schedule performance effectively
