Practice Accountant (Tax & Accounts)

Our client is a modern, cloud-based accountancy practice providing bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, accounts, tax and outsourced finance support to SMEs across Oxfordshire and beyond.

As their client base continues to grow, they are looking for a Practice Accountant (Tax & Accounts) to join their team on a part-time basis.

The Role:

You'll support a portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax returns and providing day-to-day support. Working closely with the wider team, you'll help ensure work is completed accurately and deadlines are met, with the flexibility of part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing statutory annual accounts
  


• Preparing Corporation Tax returns (CT600)
  


• Preparing Self Assessment tax returns (SA100)
  


• Supporting VAT return reviews
  


• Supporting clients with day-to-day tax and accounting queries
  


• Helping monitor tax deadlines across your client portfolio
  

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice
  


• Confident preparing statutory annual accounts for owner-managed businesses
  


• Confident preparing Corporation Tax returns (CT600)
  


• Confident preparing Self Assessment tax returns (SA100)
  


• AAT qualified (or part-qualified ATT/ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience)
  


• Comfortable using Xero or similar cloud accounting software
  


• Good attention to detail and a proactive, client-focused approach
  

This role isn't suitable for someone looking to move into practice for the first time.
