 Production Manager – Electronics Manufacturing

Location: Fife - 4 day week, onsite
Working Week: 37 hours

Frontier Resourcing is looking for a Production Manager to join a leading defence and aerospace manufacturing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to lead production operations across a range of electronic and electro-mechanical products, driving performance across delivery, quality, safety and cost.

You will lead a cross-functional manufacturing team, managing Production Supervisors, Associates and Engineers within a high-performing engineering environment. The role combines hands-on production leadership, resource and budget management, and continuous improvement to ensure customer commitments are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations as Control Account Manager (CAM), managing production budgets and touch labour hours.


• Develop and execute production plans to meet customer delivery commitments.


• Manage high-mix manufacturing operations and changing priorities using Lean Manufacturing principles.


• Drive improvements in manufacturing processes, productivity and quality.


• Lead, develop and motivate production teams, promoting a strong safety culture.


• Monitor performance against budget, bid and delivery targets.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Operations.


• Strong people leadership, organisational and communication skills.


• A disciplined, results-driven approach to manufacturing performance and continuous improvement.

Desirable Experience

• A degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations or a related discipline.


• Electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing.


• Budget versus bid management and cost control.


• SAP or shopfloor control systems.


• Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).


• Lean Manufacturing and structured process improvement methodologies.

Clearance

Candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo BPSS & SC level clearance (requires 5 years minimum UK residency and full RTW in the UK).
