This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a fast-growing business offering long-term progression, exposure to NEC contracts, and involvement in high-profile infrastructure projects. The Role As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of water and wastewater projects from project handover through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, you will play a key role in cost control, commercial reporting, procurement, and contract administration. Key Responsibilities Manage project commercial performance and cost control Prepare and submit applications for payment Administer subcontractor accounts and valuations Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Produce cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow updates Monitor project budgets and commercial risks Assist with change management and variations Support final accounts and commercial close-out Ensure compliance with NEC3 / NEC4 contracts About the Company Liaise with clients, site teams, and key stakeholders Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure, or water sectors Strong understanding of cost reporting and forecasting NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract experience Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills Ability to manage workload independently Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred Our client is a well-established engineering and infrastructure contractor operating across the UK water sector. They deliver mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) projects for major water and wastewater frameworks, providing services including: Water treatment infrastructure Wastewater projects MEICA installation and commissioning Civil engineering support System integration and automation solutions With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the utilities sector, the business offers excellent opportunities for career progression into Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Management roles.
