The Proposals Engineer will lead the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission, ensuring estimates are robust, compliant and aligned with business objectives. Key responsibilities encompass: Producing quotations: Interpreting drawings, specifications & technical documents: Preparing detailed cost breakdowns covering labour, materials, equipment etc; Conducting risk & opportunity assessments; Engaging with suppliers & subcontractors, obtaining competitive quotes & evaluating proposals; Collaborate with managers, engineers and commercial teams; Present estimates & commercial recommendations to leadership; Supporting value engineering initiatives. We are seeking a Proposals Engineer with experience within an engineering, manufacturing, machining or precision repair environment. You will ideally have a strong understanding of engineering methods and materials, and be experienced in the use of Excel, cost modelling and data analysis You should have a proven ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and have relevant qualifications in an engineering field. Consideration will also be given to senior machinists seeking a career change.
