Quality Engineer

Responsible for Performing and Maintaining detailed records of Inspection
Plans, ISIRS, and FAIRS.
* Developing Measurement Policies to reduce scrap in the machine shop.
* To be participate in product Design Reviews to promote repeatability and
reliability for production.
* Conduct capability studies / gage R&R as directed.
* Carries out such other duties that may be reasonably requested.
Person Specification
Essential:
Qualifications
* Working Knowledge of Metrology with a background in Quality
Engineering.
Experience
* Able to understand and read engineering drawings.
* Excellent knowledge of Quality Systems
* Ability to Maintain Detailed Quality records.
Technical
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Applied Working Knowledge and use of basic Metrology tool, Imperial
and Metric.
* PC literate including Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint).
Skills and Competencies
* Understanding manufacturing processes and tolerances.
* Ability to clearly communicate technical information to technical and
non-technical colleagues.
* Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised

and meet deadline under pressure.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
* Self-Motivated, with the ability to prioritise workload and met
deadlines.
* Computer Skills.
Desirable:
Experience
* Experience with Co-ordinate Measurement Machine (CMM).
* Experience with Optical Measurement Systems.
* Internal Auditor to AS9100D.
Technical
* Familiarity with a wide range of material, primarily Plastics, Rubber and
Metals and their method of inspection.
* Experience with First Article Inspection to AS9102.
